.Kira Aso. At first glance, Kira is just your stereotypical wall flower. Shy and not quick to make friends, Kira is not your average heroine. Despite this, she is a budding and very talented young artist. She lives for painting and many different forms of art. Because of her timid nature and her tendency to shrink away from a male’s touch, Kira is the perfect victim for a high school bully. And unfortunately for her, that is what she becomes but not for that same reason. Instead, Kira’s “odd behavior” attracts the attention of one of the more popular guys of her school. Through her chance meeting with Rei, Kira is given a once in a lifetime opportunity to change her life. Through his influence, Kira grows personally and overcomes a dark secret of her own too heinous to forget. Delightfully timid yet secretly determined, she is by far my favorite character. ^.^
.Rei Kashino. Rei is the original bad boy. He cuts class, smokes, mouths off to teachers and sleeps around. He freely admits to sleeping with girls because he was 'in the mood.' He moved out of his father's house and now lives in a rundown apartment, doing odd jobs for money to make ends meet. Rei is a big motorcycle freak; knowns anything and everything about them. He won the Suzuka 4-hour endurance race at the age of fourteen! An amazing accomplishment at such a young age. He is extremely popular at school, both with the guys and the girls. His popularity is caused by his easygoing and friendly attitude and not to mention his amazingly good looks. I'm talking sex god here. ROWR!. Despite this, when Rei is pissed, he displays a disturbing violent streak that is accompanied by an eerily calm face and composure. However, Rei's easygoing, friendly attitude is like a breath of fresh air for Kira and her tortured soul. Just what the doctor ordered!
.Harumi Sugihara. Ah yes, enter the villain; a typical high school bully with ever so loyal cronies included. Harumi is one of Rei’s former flings and she is streamed when she finds out that Rei is now interested in Kira, a girl to her whom is weird and disgusting. Harumi lets her anger get the best of her and attacks poor Kira in the most ruthless of ways. However, a change of heart ensues and the worst of enemies become the best of friends. Harumi’s first impression is one of a childish girl whom uses force upon others to get her way nevertheless after second glance you can see the frustrated, emotionally abused, naive child used by Rei to fill an unfathomable emptiness within his own soul.
.Tatsuya Kida. Tatsuya is Rei’s best friend and has been secretly in love with Kira since junior high. Tatsuya is the one whom counsels Rei and Kira’s relationship when it’s in trouble. At first he was against their relationship but as he saw the love blossoming between to the two he gave up. He is extremely loyal to Rei and listens and helps him whenever he can. The typical best friend/sidekick personality.
